    Useful Trip Notes

    Please Read Before Booking:

    1. Traveling in Tibet requires a moderate level of physical fitness. We strongly advise against joining the tour if you have severe hypertension, heart disease, asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, or if you currently have a cold.

    2. Please book at least 20 days before departure for Tibet Travel Permit (TTP) application. The Tibet Tourism Bureau typically takes 8–9 working days to issue the permit, and delivery within China requires an additional 3–4 working days.

    3. Airfare and train tickets are not included in the tour price. We can assist with the booking. Train tickets to Lhasa are usually issued 15–60 days before departure. During peak seasons (June–mid October, Chinese New Year and other holidays), tickets may only be issued 1–9 days before departure.

    4. Prices are based on double occupancy (twin share). A single supplement applies if you prefer a private room. Please contact your consultant for details.

    5. Independent travel for foreign visitors is not permitted in Tibet. Airport and train station transfers in Lhasa must be arranged by our company.

    6. Do NOT apply for a Chinese individual tourist visa (L Visa) in advance. If traveling from Kathmandu, you must obtain a Tibet Group Visa at the Chinese Embassy via a travel agency. If you already hold an L Visa, it will be invalidated when applying for the Group Visa.

    7. Before booking, please review the payment methods, terms & conditions, and cancellation policy carefully.

After Booking, Please Prepare the Following:

    1. Please submit copies of your passport and Chinese visa (L Visa) at least 15 days before departure. If you hold another visa type, please consult us in advance.

    2. Prepare warm clothing, comfortable outfits, and suitable walking shoes.

    3. It is recommended to bring sufficient cash. In Lhasa, foreign cardholders can withdraw CNY or exchange foreign currency for CNY at certain banks.

    4. Our insurance (PICC – People’s Insurance Company of China) covers accidents within mainland China only. We strongly recommend purchasing additional travel insurance from your home country.

    5. Mild symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, insomnia, and loss of appetite are common at high altitudes and usually improve within two days. After consulting your doctor, consider bringing ibuprofen, acetaminophen (pain relievers), and nutritional supplements.

    6. Please strictly follow local laws, religious customs, and regulations. Photography of military facilities and politically sensitive areas is prohibited. Do not respond to media interviews, collect sensitive information, display prohibited flags or banners, shout political slogans, use drones, or enter unauthorized areas outside the permitted itinerary.

    7. Items prohibited for export by customs include swords, antiques, animal skulls, and similar objects. Please avoid purchasing such items.
